What a CON this year! Just got back to the east coast. Unfortunately I was sold out of both the HOT WHEELS ECTO-1 & the WONDER WOMAN INVISIBLE JET. If anyone is looking for any trades, I have a bunch of the exclusives from MATTY as well as some other respected companies. I also have doubles on a lot of GHOSTBUSTER 6-inch figures from the past year or so. Anyway, I am new to the forums but met some cool people at CON who were part of it. The MATTY staff assured they would still have everything in stock when I got my appt. card for Saturday on Thursday morning that they had plenty of stock and not to worry about getting sold out. I guess they are both the same thing no? They were out of stock when it was my "designated line time" on Saturday morning. I didn't want to just hand someone cash on any of the previous days b/c there was not anyone I knew and the security (Elite) were pretty adamant about having to keep moving. And I think the only thing I paid cash for was the TRON stuff. Anyway, I prefer to stay on the side of caution and wasn't crazy about giving cash to anyone and risk losing them in a crowd. It just seemed more crowded this year--don't know why....

Yes, in hindsight that is what I should have done but what can I say--I took their word b/c they did run a very smooth & steady operation and there was nothing else on my wishlist for any other company that I wasn't able to pick up. I do have doubles or triples on all of the BAT-items from HOT WHEELS. (Batpod, Batwing, Bat-missle, Bat-Boat from Batman Returns, Bat-Boat from the 60's, Barris Batmobile from the 60's, Batcycle, etc) So if anyone is interested in any kinds of trades, give me a shout--I would really appreciate it. Thanks all.

Yeah I was handing out cash to strangers in various lines and they were doing the same to me if I was in line for an item they wanted that I didn't want.

What people who never been to SDCC dont understand is this is a mob and no one wants to be in the lines any longer than anyone else. so people DO help each other... if you ran with someones cash you wouldnt get very far, wayyyy to many people to notice your trades and to run around

OK guys, point taken. I have been to SDCC many times and know the size of it and have given cash to people before for items when I had a professional badge but just didn't think a Hot Wheels item was going to sell-out. I just didn't think
it would be an issue and didn't give it much thought. I put this topic up to try and find someone to trade or buy from, not to be lectured on what I did wrong. I get it so I appreciate the advice but I can't go back and do it over. That being said, if anyone does want to trade/buy with me, great. But I think we covered what I did wrong so thanks...

Yeah not bashing you at all either just letting you know that people are more than willing to help each other out at SDCC. Just ask next time and I'm sure people will take you up on your offer.
