Here is the official thread to let us know what you thought of SDCC and any improvements for next year. Please take this seriously as the more honest the suggestions the better we can address requests next year to keep making the Mattel panels, booth and retail store the best it can be.

Let us know what ya thought!

Will you be posting the MOTUC presentation slides up on facebook as in previous years? The reveals were fantastic - only wish I could have been there!

Scott:

I thought the presales were a great idea,

the lines for the wait for the presale pickup was horrible

closing ten minutes or more BEFORE posted times was not the best idea but overall the presale was a good idea but needs polishing.

Loved the way the pre-order system was handled and again the fast passes where a major plus for those that didn't want to wait in line. Great freebies at the Mattel area and as always the Mattel women were beautiful and friendly especially the African-American lady that remembered me from last year. Mattel had a great SDCC experience and I hope they duplicate the same for 2011.

Oh yeah, one more thing - re: the club eternia pre-eternia He-Man. Any chance his arm gauntlets can be the same ones used on the TRU He-Man as his appearance in the comic had? Too late to make that change?

I would like to see the panel slides posted. The lights were too bright at times, so a lot of pictures by various toy news media are hard to see. Ex. the Royal Palace Guards.

I would like more videos of you (Toyguru), demonstrating the different toys. Your convention walkthroughs with PixelDan and your spots on Attack of the Show are all superb. Smiler

The pre-sales were great!! It would have been nice to add everything since I had to wait in line to get the other items that were not listed. Also on Saturday I arrived at 11:45 to pick up my items at the Marriott and saw a sign that said they were closing at 11:30. It was clearly stated that the pick-up time was until 12:00 so I complained and they let me in. What's up with changing the times on the spot so you guys can get an early lunch? The both was to crowded especially with the Undertaker statue and
The schedule of events need to be posted larger and in multiple areas.

I loved the preorder system... I am in favor of keeping the system!!!

Only adjustment I would suggest is to include ALL the items in the preorder vouchers... I missed out the Ecto-1... Frowner

Ecto-1 and WW Jet and the Polly Pockets were part of a different Mattel brand team so that's why they weren't available to pre-order.

I also loved the preorder system. I was one of the lucky ones and was able t get everything I wanted.

The freebies were great. Big Grin Starro masks, posters, Mossman deodarant (!!)...I didn't see anything worth even picking up at the Hasbro booth. Those Galactus helmets were so cheap. Red Face

PLEASE INCREASE PRODUCTION NUMBERS ON THE EXCLUSIVES!!!

I don't know how far in advance Matty starts production on the SDCC exclusives but for next year it would be nice if maybe Matty could put the preorders up earlier like in April for a guaranteed time like the subs. This way Matty could judge how popular each item will be and you could adjust how many to make. This way more fans won't miss out.

The preorders were great. I hope Mattel does the same next year. Maybe some more staff at the voucher pick up...but it was all in all good. The Mattel Displays were great! Keep up the good work Mattel! Smiler

I would like to order an orko please. I've been trying to buy one since thursday at comic con. Seems like the transparent Orko (and adam) ran out early and I was in line 5 hours early!

The pre-orders were a great idea. The lines were long on Thursday and was probably the longest line I waited in. Only 2 people working when there when it should've been more to get the line moving faster. I would suggest the limit for pre-orders to be more limited than 6 per person so maybe more attendees can get a chance at getting the more popular figures. Another problem was your cut off lines at your booth to purchase. People asked before SDCC how the line was going to be handled and if you were going to pass out those fast passes to come back at another time. Again your line handling was not clear or figured out until during the con. Not everyone has access to the internet during the show to see how you will be handling the lines.

My problem is that I was there on Thursday and the line could still fit more people and I got a pass to come back on Saturday. By the time I came back on Saturday, the figures that I wanted were SOLD OUT! No one ever said to try again later or tomorrow etc... They just said here take this and come back at this time.
