Has anyone seen sites offering pre orders for con exclusives? Toywiz.com has them up but are already sold out. It doesn't look like BigBadToystore is doing them. They are all over ebay for 4x the price but I don't trust preordering from scalpers on ebay this far out from the con when paypal cannot offer me protection.

Why pre-order when you can get them for the price at the con at mattycollector.

What Matty is offering after the con is not the same version as the con exclusive with the exception of Mo-lar. I would like to have both versions.

If you want both versions then you have to either go to SDCC and buy them yourself, trade for them, or buy on ebay. That's the only way for you to get both versions. They will never do a pre-order for SDCC only exclusives.

Actually there is a rumor that Mattel will do pre-orders with product pick-up at the con. This would be nice as in past years the booth got super crowded and sometimes made it impossible to even get in line unless you get there very first thing in the morning or were lucky enough to walk by the booth when they re-opened the line (after telling people all day that they won't). My only worry is that it will end up like any release done on this site and so many pre-orders will go through that there will be none available at the con itself. Last year all the MOTU stuff and the Gleeks that came w/ the Wonder Twins sold out by Saturday afternoon.
