You could save yourself a world of heartache. Renting a Uhaul is not the answer. There's a post office in San Diego near SDCC that stays open until 11:00pm. Took alot boxes there after hours from SDCC over the past 2 years. |

| see to me it is rushed....its hectic enough over there that i dont need the added pressure of remembering who bought what and what are their addresses are. all i take is a shopping list saying how many of each thign i need. during the con i stay there from open to close i dont leave unless we all get real hungry, if we do then we take the bus to horton plaza and eat at the food court and then go back right away.....for me there is no down time during sdcc....we get out of the con go back to my friends house where we stay, shower and go back out to dinner or a movie or laser tag with all our sd friends. for the most part i only ever get to hang out with them the week of comic con, so any spare time we have before or after con we spend it together. comic con week is prob the week i get the least amount of sleep a year, becuase we wake up at 6am get ready go out to breakfast and go try and get good parking (this year they did prereg parking so dont ahve to worry) and stand in line to get in....we stay all day at con shopping going to panels, and when that is done we all go back get ready and hit the town, end up going to bed around 2-3am...and do it all over again the next day.
see i just wait till i get home, take my time package everything nice so they dont get damaged and mail them out, i come back home pm the people give them the tracking and tell them how much i spent on shipping it and they send me the cash for shipping afterwards.
you might have the down time to go to your car and do that stuff i dont....while at comic con i want to spend all my time there. if a line gets capped then i go to a panel or go to artist alley to see my fav artist and get prints or sketchbooks, or go see the vendors.....i went to comic con for that not to go back and sit in my car and wait. |
