We realize that this line is not as popular as DCUC or even JLU, but it has it's fans and we're doing all we can to support the line as best we can and let you know we dig it.
But, given the new look for 2010, new sculpting and articulation - what is happening on Mattel's end to restore confidence amongst the many retail buyers that have appeared to drop the line (i.e. many Walmarts, TRUs, Meijers, etc). There's still a whole bunch of major (Aquaman) and fan favorite (New Gods) characters that have yet to make it into this line (Bane!), and we want to see it survive long enough to get there. Thank you. |

THere is one thing Mattel needs to do that would make all the difference in the world:
Actually deliver the !@#$%&* product on a regular, timely basis. I've seen gaps of months where no product is coming out, and posts around the web tell me this is a widesrpead situation. Retailers do not like pegs left with no new product for long periods of time (the excuse Mattel gives for breaking up the DCUC waves is that retailers want a constant flow of new product), and yet DCIH shows up about as often as Bigfoot. There were major problems with the strategies (the three packs far too often forced you to buy characters you already had if you wanted the new ones), and the figures themselves are only now really hitting their stride with sculpting and such, but nothing does more damage to a line than not delivering it. Want to restore retailer confidence? Actually give them what they ordered in something resembling a steady flow of product. If nothing else, it would be a change of pace for Mattel. |

Well not sure what they are doing but something seems to be happening.
On a recent toy run, I found DCIH at Walmart that had not ever carried them before, and at a Kmart that is now carrying them for the first time along with DCU. that means we have Toy-r-us, Walmarts, Targets and Kmarts. These were in Northwest Florida, Ft. Walton Beach, Niceville, Fl and Pensacola. This line may have legs still yet. I purchased today at Kmart Black Adam, and Deathstroke, got to say, if keep making these from here on out we might get a few more lines. These figures look very good, the do now complete with Hasbro 3 3/4 figures. These also have gotten bigger, better detail. They will need to remake a few of the early "BIG HANDS" figures. Blue classic Batman, Superman, Green Arrow, Shazam all are a must to be remade. Plus many more early ones. Alan Scott needs a figure. |

Hey guys! Some IH news! (kind of).First of all, check this Toy guru answer:
http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve/fo ... 6391011246 "I would like to ask, is it possible for Mattel to continue release Infinite Heroes team packs thru mattycollector.com?" "we are not sure if their is a large enough fan/customer base for an item like this. Let us know what you all think! If there is enough support we'd love to try some." Now, if we can make a thread asking for a IH team pack and get some support here we could get some teams for our IH collection (Classic JSA please!). Please, let`s make it happen. We should create a separated thread to make Toyguru see our interest. Who`s with me? |
