The line that's still showing up at Target: I thought there were supposed to be new additions here, as listed on the back, but I've only seen repeats in new packaging (and one time, I'm pretty sure the case had just been put out). Anyone seen anything new in these assortments yet?

I haven't seen any of the new Storytellers Cars ever. Buford, Jud, Laverne, etc. Are these out anywhere?
I was lucky enough to find Costanzo Della Corsa once. Otherwise all the Final Lap cars near me are Ramone and McQueen. Yeah! So you aren't missing much, GOMATERGO. Not much at all. |

There's also a newly released case of LYL's (Light Year Launcher's) with SideWall Shine x 2 in it and I hope to see the next wave of the Haulers "Shifty Drug and Vinyl Toupee" Haulers soon to be released too.

The only thing that my Targets seem to get our lenticulars, and the haulers. There's plenty of everything...except Final Laps, which is one of the main reasons I go to Target.
I still won't buy the pit crew sets because they are still $20. I keep hoping they'll go on sale for $15 or lower. They don't seem to be moving at all. A week ago, I saw the first Final Lap in 2 months in Chicago: Green Ramone on a FL card! I could have thrown it down the aisle. "Quality is the best business plan." |

The Storytellers Cars were clearanced out at Target already. Unfortunately, you'll have to rely upon other collectors or online sellers in order to get them. |

Just because yuo have a Target nearby doesn't mean that you will have access to Final Lap and other exclusive CARS. I have a Target close to me. The store director dislikes "collectors" with a passion, and has opted out of stocking Pixar CARS "collectibles" as well as Hot Wheels premium diecast lines, and other diecast collectible lines like M2, Greenlight, etc. It has the second highest volume and footprint in the district, so it's by no means a "small" store. Two "collectors" and one in particular, really ticked her off, so after the remodel, she declined to accept any toy "collectibles".

Hi all,
Just thought I'd say hi to everyone. As my name reads, I'm from the Chicago area (formerly in city now in outskirts). I've been finding Final Lap Cars however there were a couple early ones that eluded me. Anyone in the area find non-lenticular Antonio Veloce and Dexter Hoover checkered flag? Chiguy- I'm also a resident, but haven't seen any FL's since Case A...and one FL Green Ramone-YUCK!!
Where are you finding these FL's? The Suburbs? I go to the Targets on Addison St, Elston Ave, or down by Roosevelt near the loop, but the FL pegs are always empty. "Quality is the best business plan." |

I hit my two nearest Targets here near Chicago last night, and it was more of the same:
After a week, no Final Laps on the shelves, and none in the back. Strange how last week, I went out to some Targets in the outer-lying suburban areas, and found the remnants of Case D (well, I assume they were Case D, as all that was left were FL-carded King's and McQueen's). The inner-city Targets here haven't even been able to consider restocking the lame lenticulars (and I have yet to see the Octane Gain Pit crew set that everyone on the coasts seems to have phone). It seems the stores are more enamored with putting our the color-changers than anything else. It's pretty sad that so far, I've only purchased in person 4 Final Lap vehicles (Polly Puddlejumper, Skip Richter, Blowing Bubbles Mater and One-Eye Mater). Everything else I've had to rely on other collectors or eBay. "Quality is the best business plan." |
