Who remembers this joke?

I remember when Mattel, the 4 Horsemen and fans alluded to the possibility of Movie Masters Superman and 1989 Batman figures.

I wonder if our dreams will ever become a reality now that DCD has the license with their 1989 Batman bust and Mattel is making 12" Superman figures?

Question:
Would you buy a 1989 Movie Masters Keaton Batman.

Choices:
Yes
No

I'd buy a MM Burton Batman, but only if they also released a Burton Joker, Catwoman and Penguin.

Not particularly interested in buying just the Burton Batman by itself.

Kenner's The Dark Knight Collection figure line had some good Keaton Batman and Nicholson Joker figures in it, for example knock out joker. I know the quality is nothing like the 6 inch movie master figures, but theyre nice figures none the less. One of the only batman lines to feature all black batman suits also, usually they come in about 100 different rainbow colored suits. probably the closest we will ever get to good keaton and nicholson batman figures

Amen to that. The Dark Knight Collection is my favorite line ever. If Mattel doesn't produce 6" versions of the 1989 movie characters atleast we'll always have the Kenner line.

Still, I think new figures are inevitable. With all these retro and nostalgic lines coming back from the dead, Batman 1989 seems like a no brainer. We've seen the return of MOTU in a new fresh way. Bandai has brought back the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers line. NECA, Hot Toys and Art Asylum have made the long awaited Terminator figures. Hasbro is going the vintage route with their Vintage Collection line in the fall.

We'll see 6" and 12" figures from the older Batman films eventually.

I'd love a Keaton Batman, both in the original and Returns costumes. I'd also buy any and every villain or supporting character from those two movies.

Can't wait for the DC Direct Keaton bust as well.

Once they finish with the Nolan version figures, it would be cool to get some Burton inspired figures. Catwoman anyone?

No, no, no. Without The Dark Knight Collection there wouldn't be a BTAS line.

I like em both equally. Sometimes I enjoy one over the other though.

I'd pick two up in a heartbeat! I still have a huge soft spot in my heart for the '89 Batman.
