Poor quality of plastic used on Joker as Gotham Thug, preview of things to come?

I getting sick of the poor quality plastic being used w/ Mattel's action figure offerings. Of particular note is the Dark Knight's Joker as a Gotham City thug. I bough three and had them break in the same spot each time (figures left thigh joint... yah that's right a thick old thigh joint).
I tried sticking 1 in the freezer, 1 in hot water and 1 as is and the only difference was in how they broke (the 1st broke apart, the 2nd came apart like a piece of gum and the last just twisted off).
Now I didn't have any problem w/ survival suit Bruce Wayne (but that is a different sculpt, not that it should make a difference), so it might just be a problem w/ the Joker as a Thug figure.
I still ordered Harvey Dent and plan on ordering the Joker w/ bazooka and Scarecrow. I mean these figures look great, but I won't reward poor craftmanship and will stop collecting if an action figure line continues to suffer from an easily fixable problem. There is no reason for a joint as thick as a thigh joint to fail.

Mattel, please stop making articulated copies of the original MOTU toys as a rule and only use old elements that still hold up to today's standards.

The head on one of my loose Joker as Thug figures is extraordinarily loose.

My loose Bozo, Survival Suit Wayne and Harvey Dent are all perfect, no problems here.

Why is the figure still 20 bucks? The new Joker for the Movie Masters line is $15. Lower the price on the Joker Thug, and I'll pick one up.

Without 75+ years of DC Comics, there'd be no SuperFriends or JLU.

You're Harvey Dent is perfect. That's good news since he hasn't arrived yet. Thanks for the great news!

No Mattycollector. It takes forever to get stuff from there. If I had bought it from ebay it would probably already be here. He's shipping w/ battle armor He-Man

Well I did end up getting Harvey Dent and am HAPPY to say he is PERFECT. I guess the problems w/ "Thug Joker" are NOT a preview of things to come.

Thanks Matty.
