Agreed, this is no place for attacking each other guys. We're here to discuss the toys and the lines they're from, NOT to get into who buys what for who and who's a scalper, who wants to be a mod etc. This is no place for that. Whilst we're on the topic of SDCC and the figure to be revealed, does anyone have any new guesses as to who it may be?

Thanks for reiterating what Bruticus said, you know, just in case we all did not see his statement two posts ago.

P.S. If you are trying to insult our intelligence, then touche!

Really not the best idea to wind up the moderators of a board is it? not if you intend to continue with discussions on it...

If I or any other moderator choose to back up the comment of one of the other moderators then we shall. It's not really your place to comment on that. If I happen to agree with Bruticus - which I do, then I will fully back him up. Please refrain from stirring up trouble with sarcastic posts and trying to goad members of the board, especially moderators, we want to keep this a fun and enjoyable place to discuss the toys, so let's get back to that shall we. There is no need for any bad feeling on here, it's not the place for it.

Don't mind that member. He's been suspended in the past and has had her threads deleted as well for stirring it up on here. The mds are doing a great job cleaning up the garbage on here.

I totally understand what you are trying to convey with your response to my post, but at the same time(whether you meant to or not)your previous post was offensive to me. I found it rather insulting and although I am not a mod, I do believe that I have a right to let you know that I felt insulted.

In the future I will try to be less sarcastic when responding to a post I am offended by and at the same time maybe moderators will put a little more thought into a post that might be offensive to us non-moderators.

It is not the moderators intent to insult anyone on this board, in fact - just the opposite, we want you all to enjoy your experience here. That's 'why' we moderate - to ensure that for everyone. My post wasn't aimed 'at you' - or anyone in particular to be honest. I was agreeing with Bruticus on the points he made - and that really was it. I'm sorry if that offended you (or anyone else for that matter). I think people forget that moderators are people and fans too, and just because we are here to tidy up the boards, and make sure things stay enjoyable - that doesn't give posters the right to speak to them in sarcastic or rude ways. We're here to make this a good experience for YOU, but at times we have to act upon posts that stir up trouble or are causing un-needed friction upon the boards, please try and put yourself in our position and how you would have to react if it was your job to do that. We don't pick and choose people to react to - we treat everyone the same, fairly, and in an objective manner.

Let's draw a line under it and get back to the toys - that's what we're all here for right?!

I loved MOTU growing up. It was pretty tempting to start collecting the figures again but I resisted until Mattel put these DC-MOTU 2-packs in TRU. I loved them when I saw them in person. I bought them and then tried to get more and realized what a mess it was.
I don't get a fair chance at getting them since they're sold online at a time I am not home. They sell out in minutes (10 limit). I can't get some figures unless I subscribe to a club (which i can't currently get into) and agree to buy all the figures even those I don't have an interest in.
I love the MOTU classic but it seems Mattel doesn't care about the average customer but more about the scalpers.

THe probelm is the way Mattel sees the subs has changed. When the idea was first floated, it was to provide a way for folks just like the grumpy old dragon to get all of the MOTUC figures easier, since there was no way to pre-order. It was, at first, a service provided to us to make our lives a little less complicated, and it really was a good thing, because if you didn't want all the figure, you could still go online each month and have some chance of getting them.

Now, however, Mattel is using the subs like a bludgeon, making them the end all, be all of the line. It's no longer a service to the customers, but a service to Mattel. It's not really an option anymore, because you have a choice between that and hoping you can get a figure before the White Screen of Doom freezes you out and you miss the 3 minute sell-out window.

Folks are frustrated and angry here, and they have good reason to be. It is literally easier to fight the scalpers in the aisles than to try to get something off this site. I had a better chance of getting the TRU two packs than I ever had of getting Battle Cat. There's something seriously wrong with that picture, and it doesn't seem Mattel gets that.

The subs have become the equivalent of Moose and Monk stopping by and "requesting" your latest payment to your loan shark. Something that was originally envisioned as a boon to collectors has become their bane, instead.

I still like the online luxury of getting these figures. I've never missed out on anything I wanted to buy from the mattycollector site. I can't say the same for trying to find figures in retail though.

They could make more money if those were sold at retail. The lame figures will turn to pegwarmers as do a lot of lame Hasbro/Mattel figures. The good stuff always sells out fast. The subscription makes you bought figs nobody has interest in. Judging by how fast they sell out I really don't understand why the limit is not one. To say it's to help foreigners save on shipping is a poor excuse. There are tons of scalped MOTU figures on Ebay and internet based stores reselling them with very high margins.
Make the limit one and they will sell out in a matter of days and everyone who wants to get MOTU figs will get a fair chance.
my 2 cents

I am so glad for you that you get your figures easily. So sad for me, i can't get them as easily. You're a MOMC collector!?! Need one to open and one on card ?!? make the limit 2 but not 10. No one army builds MOTU. In the end, I am sure Mattel wants to make more money with this line. I'll be able to get my figs and scalpers will have to find something new to scalp.

I'm glad they're keeping the max limit at 10.
