Hey everyone.

Maybe Mattel and Digital River are indeed getting their acts together. I have heard ToyGuru and some others mention how well the US team is doing, and through replies here on the forums and in some PM's, members here on Matty have said they have had much better luck with DR lately.

Recently, I got all of my sub merchandise for the month of June. including my x3 DC Atrocitus. However, those of us who have a subscription to DCIE also got our Sub exclusive Metron with Junes shipment.

Well, I should have got x3 Metrons, but I only got x2.

I talked to some folks here on Matty to get some phone numbers (Thank you to everyone who provided info by the way Smiler ) and I called DR's dreaded customer service.

Now in the past I have dealt with them, and everythin turned out OK. But it took weeks to get everything taken care of.

Not this time! I called, told them I was shorted a Metron, and they said they would make a ticket for it, and send it to the resolution team. I heard that before, but this time I actually got an e-mail saying the ticket was made. then, 2 days later I got an e-mail that my other Metron had shipped.

And I do indeed now have all 3 Metrons Smiler

Just thought Id share. Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come Smiler

That does sound better. Still would have been better if you didnt get charged shipping, which i assume you did.

Did you have to ask for the shipping coverage or did they do it on their own initiative?

They actually did it all on their own. I hadnt even thought about it when I called to have my 3rd Metron shipped, but when he shipped out it was zero cost to me.

They did that once before for me. Back when DCUC wave 18 was sold on Matty, I ordered Toyman. He arrived Broken in the package. I called them, and once they finally shipped the replacement Toyman, it was No cost to me.

DR covered shipping and everything, and I had never asked them to.

Hmmmm...I like to think (read "hope") that the horror stories are the exception and not the rule. It still would have been better had you gotten all three Metrons in the first place, but then you wouldn't have had free shipping on that. It's nice, but I just want everything to go smoothly for everybody from the get go. TG has said that they won't be promoting the subscription anywhere but the same outlets as last year (SDCC and reports from the Con, here, twitter, and facebook), and with a heavy reliance on word of mouth, that word better be good. So far, it is really mixed.

Well I guess I am bitter because when my sub 1 of Metron & Atrocitus went out, they didn't include or renew my sub 2 of that same month.

So I emailed them and they eventually did renew the 2nd sub. and sent them out, but I paid just as much as I did for when sub 1's order went out.

And, as I politely stated in the email, it wasn't like I'd done anything wrong on my end. Both sub. uses same account info and more than enough money was available.

On the bright side of that story, I must admit that I was impressed that 1 email was all it took to get the ball rolling on this issue and that it came through ok after that. I had sent the email will little confidence that it would do anything other than provide me with a reference point for when I had to call and demand the supervisor.

Also, the incident didn't exactly help Matty since whether or not I had to pay shipping twice was going to influence whether or not I ordered Panthor on the website that month. I had to pay shipping twice, so no Panthor.
