Suppose we could've made it to DCUC Wave 25, if we could have made it to have one more year of 5 waves of 7 figures including a C&C for each, one retail 5 pack, two retail 2 packs and one SDCC exclusive...what would you have like to seen? When making your lists, don't include the figures we got in the sub or that you know are coming. We often do a top 10 in many forums but if we show them what we would've wanted in a final year comparable to when waves 7-11 came out, it would give them a better idea of how much money they could've made and how much they could still make as they see which of our choices for figure selection blend together. Personally for me, you're going to notice that I went for lots of Titans and Legion love as they were sorely underrepresented and would've been the best way to complete hero & villain teams still unfinished or unstarted. Retail 5 pack - Royal Flush Gang (ala SuperFriends costumes) Retail 2 packs - Starfire new sculpt & Blackfire - Green Lantern crab mask Kyle and Fatality SDCC exclusive - Bouncing Boy (figure and Ball accessory) Wave 21 Changeling (Red/White & Purple White variants) Phantom Girl The Ray Tempest with Aqualad variant Ocean Master Hounagan Phobia C&C Wildebeest Wave 22 Nightwing (Perez) Fire with Flame on variant Mera with Red Lantern variant Black Condor Brother Blood Tharok Emerald Empress C&C King Shark Wave 23 Monel Jericho Kid Flash (Bart/older Wally variant) Firehawk Killer Frost Trickster (James Jesse/Axel Walker variant) Dr. Polaris (modern) C&C Girder Wave 24 Wonder Girl Cassie (Jeans/Red outfit variants) Damage Ice Bloodwynd Queen Bee Pied Piper (modern/classic variants) Warp C&C Apokolips Armor Rocket Red Wave 25 Superboy (T-shirt) Shadow Lass Human Bomb Zauriel The Key (modern/classic) Dr. Light with Dr. Light II variant Shimmer C&C Mammoth Boots

This is assuming we had retail concurrent with the sub, right? Like, I don't have to finish the Metal Men here because the sub got them? I'm going with what the waves were towards the end - six figures, no variants. I also went for waves that I thought could sell decently, not just personal choices (those are mixed in). Wave 21 Aqualad Aquaman (hook hand) Batwoman (Kate Kane) Beast Boy (80s Changeling look, but packaged under his more recognizable name) Hush Vigilante (Greg Saunders) C&C: King Shark Wave 22 The Atom (Ryan Choi) Batman (Dick Grayson) Enchantress Ra's al Ghul The Ray - classic look, and shiny gold to make him stand out on the shelf Robin (Damian Wayne) C&C: Frankenstein Wave 23 Count Vertigo Green Arrow (Golden Age) Mon-el Sand Speedy (Roy Harper) Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark) C&C: Killer Croc Wave 24 Bizarro (light blue) Flamebird (Bette Kane) Hourman (Rick Tyler) Nemesis Scarecrow Superboy (Conner Kent) C&C: Swamp Thing Wave 25 (last wave, I'm sneaking in two female figures) General Zod Green Arrow (Connor Hawke) Miss Martian Phantom Lady Static Superman (light blue) C&C: The General SDCC Exclusive: Granny GoodnessThis message has been edited. I believe the waves I listed could sell but I do understand that mixes with more Batman & Superman are what is often considered as the hot stuff on the shelves. If I had gone with more of my personal choices, there would've been some obscure figures in my lists for sure like Phantasm from Titans, Crimson Fox, all of the Brotherhood of Evil and Fearsome Five etc. I do think that your list would've still given us more fill for our teams that are lacking secondwhiteline, I had just concentrated on Legion, Titans and Freedom Fighters as well as female and villains to round our DC Universe collection. Sounds fun. SDCC: Granny Goodness Retail Two Packs: 1) 80s Beast Boy & Terra 2) Deathstroke & Ravager Wave 21: C&C: Mammoth 1) Jinx (Upper torso). 2) Wondergirl, Cassie S. (lower torso & head). 3) Aqualad, 80s version. (left arm). 4) Speedy, Roy Harper in the 80s (left leg). 5) Kid Flash (2003 Bart Allen). 6) Connor Kent in jeans (right leg). Wave 22: C&C: Plasmus 1) Miss Martian (with head and lower torso). 2) Jericho, 80s version (with upper torso). 3) Kid Devil, 2008 version (right arm). 4) Tempest (right left). 5) Psimon with Gizmo pack in. (left leg). 6) Dove, male version(right leg). Wave 23: C&C: Congorilla 1) Vixen (head and torso). 2) Jade (right arm). 3) Mon-El (left arm). 4) Cyborg, 2003-2011 update with vac metal, (right leg). 5) Prometheus (left leg). 6) Batman, Dick Grayson (no C&C part included). He is essentially an All Star. Wave 24: C&C: Shadowthief. He'd be similar to Metamorpho or Plastic Man in that you would get attachments so he could be shaped differently. 1) Johnny Thunder, golden age (with pack in thunderbolt). 2) Cyclone (with a flying monkey). 3) Hourman, modern. 4) Dr Midnight, modern. 5) Mr Terrific, golden age. 6) Vandal Savage Wave 25: C&C: King Shark 1) Scandal Savage (head & lower torso). 2) Jeannette (upper torso). 3) Ragdoll (right arm). 4) Madhatter (left arm). 5) Count Vertigo (left leg). 6) Heatwave (right leg). The wave above would be cool, but i think it would bomb badly if put together in retail. And just to get Doomsday in there; Wave 26 C&C& Doomsday 1) Ice (head & lower torso). 2) Fire, with variants of flame on and flame off (upper torso). 3) Waverider (right arm). 4) Bloodwynd (left arm). 5) Damian Wayne as Robin (right leg). 6) Lex Luthor in business suit with mystiplix (spelling is off i know) pack in (left leg). This message has been edited. I'm going to go with the six figure waves we got towards the end as well, since Wave 20 seemed like WL Flash was tacked on simply to add an extra figure. I'm going to stick with a sort of theme as well, since 16 forward all had overall or partial themes (Batman, Spectrum Corps, Super Friends, JSA) with some randoms thrown in to fill out the wave. And we're assuming the sub would have run concurrently, right? So those figures are all off the table? Wave 21 (Bat-centric) -Batman (Flashpoint) -Scarecrow (Super Friends) -Batwoman -Flamebird -Hush -Prometheus -CNC KGBeast Wave 22 (Superman) -Light blue Superman w/Mr. Mxyzptlk -Connor Kent (jeans) w/Krypto -"Terminator" Metallo -General Zod -Emerald Empress -Fire -CNC Doomsday Wave 23 (JLA) -Hook Aquaman -Classic Kyle Rayner -Ice -Mera -Bloodwynd -Vandal Savage -CNC Shaggy Man Wave 24 (Villains) -Ocean Master -Heat Wave -Felix Faust -Granny Goodness (New tool, but not freaking CNC massive) -Wonder Woman (Super Friends colors) -Warlord (Travis Morgan) -CNC King Shark Wave 25 (Lantern) -Jade -Kanjar Ro -Parrallax -Fatality -Tempest (or Aqualad) -Tommy Monaghan -CNC Hannu Five Pack: The Royal Flush Gang! -Ace -King -Queen -Jack -Ten SDCC Exclusive: Sergeant Rock in ammo tin case, w/exclusive dogtags.

Yeah, we're assuming all sub figures are off the table since in retrospect we know they got made. I also left out figures that I felt would work better in the sub that people would get excited for where as others in a wave might actually do better with a C&C piece. For example, Pied Piper at retail in a wave with a collect & connect might get more people deciding to buy him than if he was in the sub, where in the sub I'd be more excited to get Heat Wave, Weather Wizard, Trickster or even Abra Kadabra as my only figure that month. I can honestly say that I would not have bought the JSA, Metal Men, Doom Patrol, "one ofs" like Jonah Hex or even half the Bat family that was forced upon us if it wasn't for having them in waves and am quite happy to have them now to the point I went back and picked up the JSA, Metal Men & Doom Patrol archives as I've developed an interest in reading about them. I was always more of a Titans or JLA fan so their scheme to sprinkle some in worked and had they kept that instead of throwing us full waves of rainbow lanters, superfriends and JSA, I think they could've kept going for another 20 waves. The JSA wave was not a flash in the pan wave like the Rainbow Lanterns. They are essential to any DCU lineup and stand the test of time. Wave 21 Infinity Inc Jade The Golden Age Ray Dick Grayson Batman Silver Age Chronos Sunboy Pariah Wave 22 Dawnstar Johnny Thunder w/Tbolt Black Condor Guardians of Oa w/variants Earth 2 Superman Nuklon Wave 23 Parallax Doctor Occult Katana Silver Age Doctor Light Mon El Geo Force Wave 24 Atomic Skull Granny Goodness Amazing Man(All Star Squadron) Kyle Rayner 90s GL Mr. Terrific I Warlord Wave 25 Highfather Human Bomb Felix Faust Vixen(modern) Vandal Savage Waverider Only BAFs I want are G.I. Robot and Doomsday. The Royal Flush Gang as a 5pack. And All Star Squadron Shining Knight w/Victory as a SDCC exclusive. Then let's get on Waves 26-30

No, you're right. They were not a flash in the pan wave and can recognize their place in DC history. However I'm not a JSA fan just like I gather you are not a Titans fan by the lack of Titans in your list however there was a time when Titans was DC's best selling book and beat out the X-men each month. I'm just saying that it was easier for anyone who is not a fan of any given team to collect when it wasn't all at once. I would've been excited to get the rainbow lanterns if they were spread out in waves here and there for example because they are visually striking and do like the theme even if they are not my biggest wants. Other teams that I did not care about previously and now I'm buying archives for 60 bucks...I'd say their marketing scheme did well in my case as I not only bought their toys but expanded my horizon to buy other product that falls under DC's umbrella and imagine that they hoped for some fans to take interest when they sold their license to Mattel. this is a good point if say wave 11 had been a metal men wave i would've been less than enthused. i knew nothing of them and wanted them even less. having them drip fed however, i appreciated each figure on its own merit and in the end couldn't wait to finish off the team. if they had arrived in one wave early on, i may have passed on the wave.

I agree. Same goes for Doom Patrol for me. I also wasn't too keen on the golden age era only type figures. And Wave 19 kind of pushed it for me, luckily they made it up for someone like me and included Stargirl & Stripes in it. But since I had GA Hourman, Spectre, Alan Scott, and knew Jay Garrick was coming down the pipe . . . well it made GA Hawkman, GA Sandman, & GA Atom more useful to bring into the fold. Oh and they gave us Magog in that wave and he was a modern JSA member as well, so it was nice and fair that wave was. Wave 20 was pretty fair too with some Hawk & Dove choices I was wanting badly and modern Green & Red Arrow. Oh I am sooooo sure another real wave would have been heavily Titan based. If only . . .

I hear you Havok, my biggest regret is that we didn't have at least one more Titan themed wave as the only one that came close was wave 13. Looking back wave 1 - assorted but with Batman anchor wave 2 - assorted but with Aquaman anchor & Superman/Batman presence wave 3 - assorted but with Green Lantern anchor and Batman presence wave 4 - assorted but with Wonder Woman and Batman presence wave 5 - assorted but with Superman & Batman presence (can we consider Atom an anchor?) wave 6 - assorted with a lot of big names that should'a been spread out and Superman presence wave 7 - assorted with Flash anchor wave 8 - JSA heavy wave (Hawkgirl, Dr. Fate, Mr. Terrific, G.Ghost and even Vigilante in a way) wave 9 - assorted with Green Arrow anchor wave 10 - assorted with Batman anchor wave 11 - assorted with Green Lantern anchor wave 12 - assorted but JSA presence with Spectre & Dr. Midnight wave 13 - assorted with Titans/WW anchor (hard to tell which one it was now that I really think about it) wave 14 - JSA heavy wave (GL, Obsidian, Hourman, Ultrahumanite) wave 15 - Martian Manhunter anchor with JSA presence in Starman and Titans got Raven wave 16 - Batman heavy wave wave 17 - rainbow lanterns wave 18 - superfriends wave wave 19 - JSA wave wave 20 - brightest day wave? or was it a Flash or Green Arrow anchor? when you look at that, I would've still preferred assortments that matched the first five waves and/or waves 7, 9-13, but we never really did get a Legion or even a proper Titan themed wave sadly.
