I really enjoyed the show. I think if they made the toys the same way they are doing the MOTUC, then the show would've lasted longer. I actually hate that companies link the shows to the toys. Here in the US, it had a horrible time. For where I'm located, it was Monday through Friday during normal business hours. By the time I got home after 6 p.m. ET, it had gone off for the day. They did very little advertising for the show and for the toys in my area. I just happened to catch an advertisement for the series by chance. I wish they would've kept it up. It's obvious the fans liked the show and the toys. If they were to re-release the show and build on it as well as re-release the toys in better scaling, then they would have another MOTU hit.

I know it was a hit in the UK. Also on a side note, the episodes were shown a day ahead early in the morning for the first series. A great series and I wish we got the third series as I like the Horde!

It is where you most want it to be. In plain sight yet never seen, this is its nature.

I wasn't a fan during the original run but I really enjoyed the 200X series whenever I would catch it on cartoon network. I was just looking at the DVD set at Best Buy the other day and debating on whether or not to buy it.

I picked up a few of the figures as well. I loved the sculpts on them.

When Masters of the Universe first came out, way back in the 80's, I remember absolutely loving the toys. Then some comics followed (other than the little mini-comics that came with the toys), and I really enjoyed those as well. Then came news of the cartoon, and I was practically vibrating with excitement. But after seeing a few episodes, I found that I was really disappointed; it was just so uninteresting, and not very imaginative. I have still not been able to watch the whole thing. But I still liked the toys and the comics. Years passed, and then came the new series, it showed much more promise, and after seeing the first episode, I was hooked! What an awesome backstory for Keldor/Skeletor! And the characters, they were actually fighting in such a great way, and even better, they weren't rehashing the same scene over and over again each episode (with the exception of Adam becoming He-Man, but that is acceptible). Unfortunately, beyond half of the first season, it kept switching time-slots, and I lost it, and thought it was canceled after one season; I was bitterly disappointed.

The toys themselves for the line were also a disappointment, but the odd poses, and IMHO too thin bodies. I was so annoyed that they came so close to achieving what MOTU could be, and then seemingly stopped trying. But then I got wind of the MOTUC line of toys a couple of months ago, and I was overjoyed! These were the toys that needed to be during the 200X series. As I was thinking that, I found the complete series DVD of the 200x series, and seeing that there were many more episodes that I thought, snatched it up immediately, and loved it! This was a fantastic series, wonderful in every aspect! To say this was a failure is a massive misnomer; rather it was the support of it by the networks that was a failure. I would love to see it continue.

I have to put the blame for the shows "failure" at the feet of Marketing and show schedules.

The toys and show were both absolutely top notch, but there was no back up. Even mega brands like Star Wars constant adverts to promo their stuff.

The time slot is the main thing to make or break a cartoon though. CN kept messing around with Transfomers Animated and a very similar thing happened.

Cartoon Network seems to boot off good shows and tries to make it's gosh awful shows a hit. I can't stand Adult Swim, that segment is cancer for the brain.

Lets break that Speed record!

The 200x series was never aired in Serbia, at least to my knowledge, which is a shame, cause MOTU toys and cartoon were very, very popular here back in the 80s, so I don't doubt it would've been great hit. It's certainly one of the best cartoon series I've ever seen. Shame it ended where it did.

Cheers. E.

I really liked the 200X series. I grew up with the orginal and saw the new series as a great improvement.

The characters were more fleshed out and had more personality (Skelator was the biggest improvment.),

The fight scenes were better,

The King Grayskull backstory was awesome

What killed it was Cartoon Network moving it aorund (I hate what they do with shows they don't make)

And I also blame Mattel, (sorry guys it's true),

I worked at a KB Toys while this was on the air. I had kids coming in asking for their favorite characters only to find rows of varient He-man and Skelator figures but never any Ram Man, Man at Arms, Beast Man or Mer-Man. Mattel overloaded stores with He-man and Skelator and short packed everyone else.

My only real complaints with it was Cringer didn't speak and whatever the symbol on He-Man's harness was. Cringer is/has and always will be able to speak, and the symbol for He-Man is the Iron Cross or the Battle Armor H.

Clawful:Heyyyyy, itttts not workin

CN gave the show practically no support. The only time I ever saw a commercial for He-Man on CN was DURING He-Man. I think only the die-hards who would outright search for it actually knew the bloody thing was on.
