Yes - these are still the same initial prototypes shown at Toy Fair. Luckily that actual products always look better...

I can't believe the product is dropping this month and Mattel can't find a single real picture of the final product to post. Who the **** is in charge over there? Supposedly you were re-working the crappy designs to make improvements...which always seemed like a lie in the first place. Can someone from Matty shuffle over and post actual carded pictures of the product. I realize you still don't even utilize actual final product pictures of the product to sell it yet it still makes no sense.

Batman's Cape is Beyond Horrible. It looks like he's wearing a Thong, and has some chicks belt on from the Rave. It's far too small.

Well - all better than the prototypes - especially Aquaman. Two Face and Black Manta are excellent; Aquaman is good. Batman, um... um... I like them all except (unfortunately) Batman. That removable cowl is terrible. I would have much preferred a sculpted cowl without the black. At least his cape is longer than the Mego version and the overall visual impact is better, but still disappointing. Hopefully Wave 3 with Wonder Woman, Cheetah and Flash will be really good...

YAY THEY'RE PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hoped they would be pink.

Two Questions,

1) Did they fix the bodies?

2) Why is Batman wearing a thong?

They really, REALLY need to fix the Retro BATMAN!! The THONG look is very UN SUPERHERO!!

The bodies are not fixed at all! That was obviously not a top priority for Mattel with this series.

I'm totally clueless about the creepy Bat thong. I just find it funny how Doc Mego and Mattel talk about all of the changes these will make from prototypes to finished product...I don't see any. Except of course for the new improved Bat diaper! I guess that is why Mattel thinks it is fine to re-post the protoype photos.

My biggest problem is the lack of attention to fix the bodies and the lackluster sculpts of Batman and Aquaman. I would like to see the finished Bruce Wayne head too! I think Two-Face and Black Manta look great! Unfortunately the bodies will flail over once removed from the Barbie pink packaging! I will buy these and then put the heads on a Zica toys Z-Body.

Oh Matty, you have much to learn. I'd love to sit with your design team and unleash my super powered NERD rage about these figures!

Thanks for the golden opportunity you are giving us to get these Retro-Action DC Hero/Villains figures. I think they all look great so far. Don't feel bad about the complaints you are receiving. No matter how much you try, you'll never be able to please everybody. Just the fact that we are once again able to buy newly sculpted heads, brand new costumes, boots and accessories for our favorite DC heroes and villains in a Mego 8" scale is simply and plain marvelous. At a $20 price tag is unbeatable, and as I said before, a golden opportunity. The options remaining will be pursuing Mego original figures or Mego custom figures which both fetch big bucks. So I really appreciate what you are doing for us Mego DC WGSH fans. Keep up the good work and keep the waves coming with more frequency. Regards,

I also happen to think that Mattel and their design team are truly the ones with the golden opportunity here to make and sell an amazing product.

The issues with this product can be quickly and easily fixed. Hire more seasoned sculptors. Re-design the body quickly.

Corporations should "feel bad" about negative consumer feedback and adjust their business model accordingly if they want to make a more successful product. Sales drop with dissatisified buyers.

Matty will survive honest consumer complaints as it has for many years. They should just work harder at reacting to feedback and providing honest responses to their customers.

It is nice to see that the moderators of these forums listen to input and feedback. Matty is extremely lucky to have a concerned fan base who takes time out of their busy days to provide feedback and input in order to improve their collector targeted products.

Matty enjoy your golden opportunity here to play in the D.C Universe and make an amazing toy line. Please don't drop the ball!
