My order from BigBadToyStore arrived today.

The Good:

The pink packaging, I'm old enough to remember seeing the original Mego Super Heroes in the stores and this specific shade of Pink really brings back memories. It has a distinctive Mego feel to it.

Batman - this is hands down the Best Removable Cowl ever made on a Batman Action figure. Really impressed with it in person, it looks and functions much better than then the pictures seen on the web. Kids can also take the mask on and off without breaking it either. This removable cowl feature has won me over and I hope future figures incorporate this featured design.

Two-Face - the details on the suit are fantastic and I can't believe how well they pulled off a full dress suit with Tie on this scale, it is much better then some 1/6 scale suits I have seen. The figure also has 2 different color shoes which is a nice touch and true to the character. The Headsculpt is the best one in the line so far - Whoever sculpted this should do more headsculpts for the line.

Black Manta - Figure looks Great and the Backpack with airhoses that plugs into his helmet is well made

Aquaman - He can hold the Trident very well in either hand. The Costume is just as nice as seen in the pictures so far. The Belt Logo is NOT a sticker but part of the entire belt.

The Boots - are thick and sturdy like Wave 1.

The Bad:

The same CRAPTACULARLY AWFUL Bodies as wave 1. No fixes were made, these bodies are simply unacceptable and must be replaced if you want to "play" with the figures.

Batman's chest Logo - is VERY susceptible to cracks if you remove the outfit. Something went wrong in the factory production, much like some of the Superman and Green Lantern figures from wave 1. You will have to search for a good one.

Batman's Belt - it is a piece of Vinyl painted yellow and GLUED to the costume - it is not removable.

If Mattel refuses to FIX the Bodies then they should just sell the heads, hands, and costume in a package with a cardboard cutout in place of the figure's body for $10.00 and save everyone some money. It would also offer the same level of poseability.

I agree! Two Face is exceptionally cool on a Zica body! Really do not mind the Bat cowl! I wish the new big nosed flash had a removable cowl! I also Wish the lame gauntlets would be dropped in favor of gloves! See classic plastic for easy ways to solve this issue as well! The Bat utility belt is way too flimsy! The bodies and insignias are pure shizzle. These figures could turn the tide if the bodies were improved! I just hope the female sculpt is better designed!

I like the gauntlets and the colored hands feature. It is much easier for kids to play with. Much better than the old oven mitts Batman. As a collector I don't mind the way the gauntlets look.

I know exactly what you mean about the gloves. I have a 1/6 scale custom Adam West Batman figure outfitted with some parts from Classic Plastick. I think at the 12 inch scale the gloves are ok, but would not hold up to extended play. For the Mego scale they would either be too thick and bulky looking in order to be durable or run the risk of tearing if made thin enough to look good at that scale.

Plus you could always remove the "cuffs" on the figure and replace it with some gloves from CP if you prefer those.

Did you swap the Retro Mattel hands onto the ZICA body, or just use the ZICA hands?

I was thinking of ordering some of the New Doc Mego bodies with the swivel arm bicep because the skin tone is lighter than the ZICA or Castaway body color and more closely matches the Retro Mattel heads.

It's a shame Mattel went with such a poor body design to begin with. Instead of using the Big Jim body they should have simply scaled down the Max Steele body and Super-Poseable Barbie bodies. The Max Steele body was really quite durable, poseable, and muscular enough to be used for Super Heroes.
