Amazon.com has listed Wonder Woman, Cheetah, Flash, and Captain Cold as wave 3. There are no pics at this time, and I don't know if it's accurate, but I'm liking the sounds of this wave and hope it's true.

I agree - all are good choices except Captain Cold. The other three are definites for me though! Now, if we'll just get a 70's Supergirl and a Joker!

It seems like they're adamant to have a villain for every hero, except Green Arrow, villain killer 2010! They should reserve two spots for Blue Beetle and the Question. Much better (but not by much) than Captain Cold! Wink

Well, I for one LOVE Captain Cold! He's soooo 70's!!

I mean come on...he's a dude in a parka with a freeze gun! What's not to love?

That said, Mirror Master would be awesome too.

Will the females in this line have rooted or sculpted hair? I'm hoping for rooted to keep it authentic. It's another Series of Challenge of the Super Friends paring like in Series 1. I love it. I hope they do a CotS Toyman in Series 4.

That would be AWESOME if it were true! Flash makes a lot of sense since he (like GL) is one of those figures that Mego never made, but should have.

Does this mean that there will be a Hawkman at some point? That would be awesome! Gentleman Ghost would be a cool villain for him!

Atom would be another terrific choice (with Chronos as his enemy).

I think the reason Cold did so poorly is that he was over produced and overshipped. He is one of the Flash's top rogues and was in the Legion of Doom, so I'd normally think he'd be a good seller.

Really hope that the list is true, and really dreading what Mattel will do with the female body....

Whoever shows up in Wave 3, Big Bad Toys is pre-ordering them WITHOUT names!

Think the line will make it to a wave 3? The second release of Green Arrow is still available on the matty site. Every Toys R Us I have been to is sitting on a bunch of Lex and Sinestro (if not the whole wave).

It might be asking too much for TRU distribution of future waves. Anyone else think it might just go to LCS and specialty stores? And would Mattel stick with it if that happens? I wish Diamond Select could have had this from the beginning - they could have made DC and Marvel, like Mego.

Wave 2 isn't out yet. The online retailers are all saying July.

I hope Mattel hasn't destroyed the potential of Retro Action figures (DC in particular) by producing such a substandard basic body.

Mattel, please stop making articulated copies of the original MOTU toys as a rule and only use old elements that still hold up to today's standards.

It is not just Mattel who is at fault here. Emce has given them poorly produced prototypes made by their "friends". Check out the crappy work they have given Bif Bang Pow on their Lost and Flash Gordon lines. Unfortunately Mattel bought into their lame expertise. The Four horseman could have sculpted these and made incredible figures. See Zica toys for what someone with a keen eye and some business sense can do without corporate backing! The usage of the strung bodies was a horrible failure to start with. Mattel will have to figure out what to do with these in order to move the line forward. They should work out all the kinks before making Ghostbuster figures.
