Should the female Retro-Action DC Super-Heroes have rooted hair or molded hair?

Rumor has it that we'll see Wonder Woman and Cheetah soon!

I personally am hoping for the rooted hair, but I'm interested to see what others think.

I think the molded hair would look better on these types of figures. But,I would have to see one with the rooted hair,my mind is not set in stone on this one.

Mattel has confirmed that Wonder Woman will have rooted hair, which is much more 'authentic' in keeping with the 70's look. The hair will no doubt look better than the gigantic Mego flip all the females had. It's much easier to do better rooted hair today than back then.

I had thought we saw Catwoman on display at Toy Fair & she had the rooted hair...or was I just imagining things???

In any case I say rooted hair all the way. Not that I am a fan of it in general, but it is a big part of the Retro style females & I would like to see it continued.

Yup, I'm for rooted too! I really don't think the sculpting is as good as the horsemen to have molded hair on these!

Has anyone seen the mess that was made out of the Bif Bang Pow Lost Kate figure with molded hair?

If Mattel can't make the females with rooted hair look good *cough* Barbie *cough*, who can? Smiler

I've seen the Lost figure prototype with the sculpted hair, and it doesn't work well in this format. Rooted is the only way to go here, whether it's a female or a male with long hair (Kamandi would need the Mego Thor treatment).

That Kate Prototype sucks and so far all fans are in total agreement. I have not heard one positive thing said about it. The only response I've heard is that according to ABC its great. Hopefully Bif Bang Pow will figure out that if fans hate the sculpt chances are they also won't buy it.

Mattel needs to recreate their 12"inch body ala Ghostbusters to the 8" format. There is no excuse to keep manufacturing sub-standard products.

Rooted hair is by far their best option.

Side note...get better sculptors/ designers associated with this project to make it what it should be ASAP!

Rooted. Of course.

Might it look silly? Well, yeah. If you care about realism, this isn't the line for you.

I actually have a sneaking suspicion that the figure will have molded hair. It looks like the way the 8 inch females are going in all of the lines...Dark Shadows, LOST, STAR TREK! All of the new 8 inch females seem to have badly sculpted/molded hair. I don't think one has turned up rooted yet! Anyone out there see one?

STAR TREK? Which female is getting the molded hair treatment in the Mego style for Star Trek?
