So it looks like we will be seeing cartoon version of the Ghost Busters coming in a new Retro Action Line.....what is the good? word....excited...indifferent....I wished they more realistic and not the cartoon versions. I just hope the body flaws get addressed and solved before branching out into new territory!

I don't know.... the retro style figures seem to almost have a slight cartoony/caricature-like style already. Not really RGB style, but still I wouldn't call them realistic looking. I'll bet Mattel thought that since they would have to slightly change the guys anyways for the retro line style, they might as well kill two birds w/ one stone and release them as RGB.

Mattel, please stop making articulated copies of the original MOTU toys as a rule and only use old elements that still hold up to today's standards.

You are right that does make total sense! This line could have a lot of potential to create some fun characters!

I'm thrilled about Retro Action expanding their universe. I'm a tad disappointed that they're based on the cartoon rather than the movie, but I'll be picking them up regardless. I'm so excited about this!

I have just purchased my first one here at Matty. I love the retro look and feel to the collection. I was not even a fan of the cartoon!

Received this yesterday! It looks really cool in package. I am pretty sure I will leave it sealed. Though I would love to see Venkman with his Proton pack on...

I was going to buy these for my nephew, as he loves The Ghostbusters & The Real Ghostbusters, but how do they hold up to child's play?

Demonknight, I would only really recomend these figures for adults. I don't see them as being too durable for a childs play. Cheers Demonknight.

Aww that's too bad. The only thing that really doesn't hold up for GBC are the hoses, but I just replaced them with cord. I was hoping maybe the Retro figures held up better. Smiler

Thanks for the info, AITheRelic. Smiler

Does anyone know if they will ever release series 2 of these? Perhaps SDCC will shed some light?
