Your attack on , Catra's Wrath is really uncalled for. Cat, like all us Mods are here just to keep the flow to The Forums, and make sure everybody is having a safe and fun environment to enjoy. We all understand the frustrations people are having ordering the toys, and the need to air your grievances, thoughts, and suggestions, but it needs to be done in a non threatening and respectful manner. Yes, posts do get deleted, if they are considered to be offensive, but that's not a policy only MattyCollector enforces. Although, MOTUC is considered an "Adult Collectible", this site also is the place to go for many other lines that are aimed at all ages, so it has to be keep clean for all to enjoy. This message has been edited. That identity theft came through information found in DR's Affiliate Marketing software program.
Basically, it is a situation when a site refers traffic or business to another site, either closely related to its main line of business or not.
It'd be like a travel tips/review site leading to a website to look for hotel/plane tickets, product reviews leading to purchases of the product, yes the adult industry is an obvious example, etc.
The ordering info through this site shouldn't be part of the data that guy is/was trying to sell, which would most likely be searching/purchasing behavior info that wouldn't give someone's specific personal info just the IP address assigned to that browser history info. Still not a good thing, but different from someone's login/payment info.

that's pretty elitest to us in the rest of the world dude

Hey Bruticus...that guy wasn't going after Catra. He was talking about the Administrator who just posted the news about how the forums will be divided, monitored, etc., etc... Regardless, no one should be called a Nazi...unless you are a Nazi...then it makes sense. I think he was kidding though.

People would understand that if they'd just actually read the article, but thank you for attempting to explain it to them. It has nothing to do with Digital River's e-commerce customers or the MattyCollector site, and there's absolutely no reason for anyone to cancel credit cards over this.

Glad to see you knew my reply was light hearted! with so many flared tempers at the moment it's amazing how people can read things the wrong way!!
We're just incredibly busy tonight that's all, it's not just the MOTUC line that went on sale remember, there were other lines too, we have a LOT to deal with.
When signing a contract with any company you are locked in for a set time period.

It took me a moment to realize the Octavia comment wasn't part of your signature otherwise I may not have noticed the more lighthearted nature... Course that's also Why I added Mr. Smiley to mine.
So I have I think one last questions with the contract. Usually a larger company like Mattel would have certain service clauses and appearance clauses, to allow them an out if the secondary party does not perform as expected, or does something that makes the company look bad. I just wonder, and I'm guessing in this case you may not have an answer, but isn't there something like that?
Lets face it, DR as a representative of Mattel is making Mattel look bad.
This article doesn't seem to indicate any need for us to be concerned about cc or login theft.
------------------------------------ Mattel, please stop making articulated copies of the original MOTU toys as a rule and only use old elements that still hold up to today's standards.
