As swell as it is to hear that people will be allowed to take another blind stab at getting these figures soon, I'd have been much happier with a statement that said something more like, "We understand that problems exist with our website, and we're going to do our best to make sure that people who log into the site at the very start of the sale won't sit through a half-hour "order processing" screen before timing out and receiving NOTHING."
Or, y'know, anything. The simple acknowledgment that there's an issue here. |

I have to echo the above sentiments and add my own. The first thing Toyguru needed to say in the first post was, "I'm sorry we screwed up again." A lot of folks like me were there at 12 noon and missed the figures because Matty wouldn't allow us to check out before they were out of stock. TG's response here is a joke, proving just how clueless this entire place has become.
And don'y expect them to stop pushing the subscriptions; after today, I'm more convinced than ever that the only way for this site to survive is to basically force all of us to buy all the MOTU figures if we want any. This isn't the sort of thing you see with a growing, thriving line or website. This is what you see when a site is dovetailing and taking its one successful line with it.... |

At this rate there is no way this line will last till 2016. We've put up with the same nonsense since the start. Nothing will change. Too many diehards are getting burned out on this.

I AGREE!!!! We Need Details!!!! When can I get my Battle Cat(s)? I always get at least three of everything... one for my son and one for me to open and one to keep in the package. |

Of course TG wants an all in approach. That's a no brainer for him and a chimp could effectively manage a brand where you are forced to commit to every thing long in advance and have no opportunity to decline anything. This is a very backwards approach and if TG had any managerial skill we wouldn't be in the mess we are.

I was on-line at noon (red box 3 seconds).
Put the items in my cart (red box 3 second). finally checked out, but it never processed. Oops...someone forgot to tell my bank. So now I have a four day 58 dollar check card hold on an order they say I never placed...wow, they must be psychic to just place a hold in the exact amount for an order I never placed. I never respond to forums, but this is the worst internet company I've ever dealt with...and I've dealt with some real fly by night places. Oh did must also mention that I have a subsciption (not that the Matty customer service department cares) and my promo code was invalid too. |

Well I hope this is an indication that we need an all inclusive subscription.

Let people order as many as they want, and when the orders are all in, then have the factory produce that many figures.
Having a sellout wouldn't mean as much because it would always be a sell out, but then the sales would be higher than with a sell out. |

Thanks to the MAA glitch, I had to order my BC and MAA separately, thus paying more shipping than I should have had to. At least I got my BC, though. Should I be thankful? I don't feel relieved. I feel irritated. I received an email yesterday that my subscription had been cancelled because my credit card expired. Since my card is good 'til 2013 and has plenty of money on it, I called customer service and I was assured that today would be no problem, that it was an error and my subscription figure (TrapJaw) should go out to me without delay. Well, nearly 8 hours later, I still don't have any kind of confirmation that I'll be seeing TJ. No shipping notices, no charge to my card, no "order in process" in my Order History on MattyCollector for my sub purchase last summer. This is completely unacceptable. Adora came to me with no issue.
I've never had an issue up until today. I feel so bad for those that have been having problems for months. I fear I'm about to join that group... FIX THIS. |

All this venom.... wow. I don't know that spewing obscenities and other invective is the best way to go about things but I understand the sentiment I hope the powers that be will listen to the message, if not the words.
This is simply unconscionable ... How is it possible that any company would purposely minimize sales? I have heard the explanation that the bulk of the figures made are earmarked for subs but it is CLEAR that Mattel double the amount post subs without blinking an eye. Tripling production would still result in a one day sell-out, dare I say Mattel would be looking at complete sell-outs in less than 1 week with 4 TIMES the post sub production? I fully understand that Mattel is creating more demand by decreasing supply but this is creating such a frenzy that the consumers can’t even purchase the product. A 19 minute sell-out is absurd, it’s not unfair, it’s not crazy, it’s unthinkable. Frankly, any sell-out in less than 1 day is asinine. Having a product so under produced that you can’t even reasonably wait 15 minutes to place your order is suicide. Honestly, more fans are being driven away every month. I simply refuse to believe it makes good business sense to have these toys available for less than 1 full week at a time. I have tried to purchase each and every figure released so far…. I have been unsuccessful 8 times THAT IS ONE THIRD OF THE RELEASED ITEMS….. I am 37 years old, work at a desk job and am willing to dedicate a few minutes out of my work day each month to purchasing this product, Aren’t I EXACTLY who the line is aimed toward? As it stands now, with these ludicrous sales times, I have less than a 50/50 chance of being able to purchase these items. Isn’t there an issue here? If it wasn’t that I absolutely love the MOTU property I would be done. I am not even mad at this point, I am heartbroken. |

can you say "bow to the almighty dollar". has anyone here met or seen toyguru.? I have. a bad experinece and he reminds me of one of the superfriends from the simpsons episode. in fact, he would pass 100% as the character. toyguru like all of Mattel is hiding and could care less. they got their money. they have a monopoly and will never admit to scewing up. they have the same problems over at the hot wheels website as well. wait till one of the cons toyguru is at and is getting peppered with all these questions. toyguru can't look you in the eye without his nose growing. toyguru is no guru of toys, more like the guru of no respect.

the problems with the motu figures are 2 things number 1 is they dont make enough of them and 2 all big toy companies has different people placing orders of ten a piece so regular collectors like me cant get none of them all they want is to buy about 50 of them and make a fortune off of them when its something we want to keep so f u to all the big toy companies .......ricky ferrell
