OK, This is officially Awesome!

Thanks for the "Head's Up" - I will definitely be heading to the local KMart! I'm also hoping to meet up with a few other collectors while I'm there. Let's make it an event, people!

Is this supposed to be exclusive to K-mart only because I saw these figures at my local Target in NJ? Anyone know why is that?

The_Bob_Wonder;

The Legends series have been released in other stores, yes, but these "Hall of Fame" figures are a special sub-series or re-releases.

As I understand it, these will essentially be the same toys, but in new packaging and with a mini Hall of Fame plaque and gold-colored stand.

I'm really only interested since I haven't seen any of these figures in their original release, so it works out well for people like me.

Then again, I could be completely wrong. :P

Ok, so I made it out to my nearest KMart store this weekend, and I have to say that this whole "Special Delivery" thing wasn't really much of an "event."

I arrived at about 11:40, but none of the figures were on the shelf yet! In fact, they were still in the shipping boxes... over in Electronics! Seriously, if it weren't for another collector who had been wandering around the store I wouldn't have been able to find them. I think somebody dropped the ball over at KMart.

Still, I did find the two figures I wanted, so I suppose it worked out alright in the end.

Then again, it might have just been my store.

Anyone else have any problems?

I went to the "special event" at my local K-Mart. There was nothing at all set up. When I asked about it somebody went to the stock room and dragged out a case of WWE Legends Series 1 - the same figures that were already stocked on their pegs. No "Hall of Fame" packaging, no Funk, not even some series 2. Most disappointing "event" ever.

yea it was sad around here too.. i arrived at about 10:50 am at my kmart and they started putting out the figures about 11:10. i was the only person there and they put them on a table down near the hardware section. main thing i cared about was getting stone cold steve austin. i had no problem getting the figure i wanted so i can't say i'm disappointed in anything. in hindsight had i known that there was not going to be a rush i would not have rushed my self but either way i got what i wanted.

The store I went to had 1 case and most of them were crushed. I only wanted Funk (to make a Flair out of) and a Snuka to keep MOC so luckily I found one good Snuka out of the 4. Also Friday night I had received an email from the WWE saying Dusty Rhodes would be signing at a Tampa KMart & Sarge would be at a NC Kmart. I wish someone was signing up here in the Ny/NJ area.

I got to my Kmart around 11:20 , went to the toy aisle & saw one Hall of Fame Steamboat on the pegs. I walked around the store a bit & found a table with all of the figures on it.I only wanted Tery Funk & got him w/ no problem. My wife works at a different Kmart & she said that only one person showed up for their event .She checked today & said that only 4 out of 24 figures had been bought so far.

I didn't see any of the Hall of Fame figures, but I didn't look all over the store. However, I did find all of the series 2 Legends and the Ted DiBiase Entrance Great so it was still a worthwhile trip.
